Privacy policy

Sketchy has no accounts and doesn't ask for your name. This page says what the app sends to us and why.
What we collect
- A device identifier. A random ID the app creates, plus Apple's App Attest and DeviceCheck signals. We use them to keep each device's daily painting allowance and to stop abuse. They are not used for advertising.
- What you make. The descriptions and style text you write, the pictures painted for you, and, for projects, the project file and the recordings of your lines. We keep these to run the service and to improve Sketchy.
- An email address, only if you ask for more. If you reach your daily limit and ask for more, the app asks for an email address. We use it to reply to your request and to ask how you use Sketchy.
- Usage. How many pictures are painted and what they cost us, the app version (sent with each request), and errors. We don't use analytics or advertising trackers. Your IP address is used briefly to limit sign-up abuse and isn't stored with your data.
Who else sees it
Pictures are painted by OpenAI and fal.ai: your descriptions, style text and the reference pictures for a painting are sent to them for that purpose only. We host on Cloudflare. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Pictures sent to be painted, and the results, are held for about a day while the job runs. Project files and painting records are kept as long as the service runs, unless you ask us to delete them. Deleting a project in the app deletes our copy of it.
Your choices
Email support@sketchy.video and we'll delete what we hold for your device. Because there are no accounts, we may ask you for details (such as roughly when you used the app) to find it.
Children
Sketchy is not directed at children under 13.
